A workshop for parents, held at School 16 on October 15, was held in order to zero in on the importance of school attendance. According to Treatment Coordinator, Glenny Vasquez, the workshop sought to explain to parents how important it is for their children to attend school every day.
The academic part of the workshop was lead by Principal Mrs. Correa, and the medical part was addressed by FSCS Doctor Gloria Mejia, who explained to parents when it is medically necessary to keep children at home due to illness.
The workshop then answered parental concerns and questions.
The ultimate aim was successful: school attendance is an important issue, closely connected to student success!
